Forest Concepts has catalogued and/or developed hundreds of products that can be made from small diameter wood. Potential products range from tourist trinkets to large-scale buildings. Watershed products range from bioengineering bank stabilization through critter-condos to endangered species habitat. Structural products range from fencing to picnic shelters, kiosks and architectural specialties. Our technical and community outreach specialists will work with you to identify a collection of products that best fit your objectives, your local capacity and your markets.

Our project team will then provide tools, equipment and technical support to conduct in-community demonstrations of production techniques and finished products. Local business and community members will be engaged in designing and manufacturing value-added products from smallwood. The community will see the potential and the opportunities for creating jobs, economic activity and useful wood products from previously low value or worthless forest biomass.
